Biography of Artist
Sam Dalby is an artist and teacher living and working in North Yorkshire.
He attended Harrogate College of Arts and Technology 1993 – 94, and Cleveland College of Art and Design 1994-97. After graduating, Dalby began to educate his self in the basic techniques that he felt had not been taught, starting with the fundamentals of draughtsmanship.
Sam has exhibited at the Linton Court Gallery, the Spiral Gallery, the Museum of North Craven Life, The Gibberd Gallery. He has also exhibited at the 2003 BP Portrait Award and the Royal Society of
Portrait Painters annual exhibitions since 2010.
He was elected as a full member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters in 2013.
