Malcolm has been painting for over 30 years whilst fulfilling a successful business career as a principal designer with an international consultancy firm, but he has now been painting full time for the last seven years. He is a member of The Pastel Society and The Federation Of British Artists and is also the Vice President of Manchester Academy Of Fine Art. He lives in the North West of England and paints every day in his studio.
Much of this shift from representational painting to a more abstract approach has come about from many years visiting St.Ives whose rich tradition of abstract art and artists has held a special interest for him.
His work has been shown in galleries throughout the UK and as far afield as New York and Seattle. In recent years these include The Royal Academy; The McLellan Gallery Glasgow; Discerning Eye Exhibition at The Mall Gallery, London; The Portico Library Gallery, Manchester; Gallery Oldham; Artmill Gallery, Plymouth; Oriel Wrexham; Royal Cambrian Academy, Conwy
He has also been a prize winner at The Pastel Society exhibition.
He has work in collections in England, Wales, Scotland, USA, The Cayman Islands, Switzerland and Spain.
