Stephen has been painting for the last 20 years, initially home taught, but for the last 10 years under the tuition of John McCombs the celebrated Delph Artist. Greatly influenced by Constables outdoor oil studies and others, painting the shapes rather than the picture, expressing the mark and the brush stroke to hopefully capture the feeling, mood and the atmosphere of the landscape.
