Malcolm is a studio-based artist based in Cheshire whose practice is rooted in drawing and occupies a space between abstraction and figuration.
Malcolm’s work has become distinctive, he uses his many sketchbook studies and drawings as a starting point from which a fully abstract painting often develops. He doesn’t have a fixed image in mind at the outset, preferring to let the imagery evolve through the process of painting. Although his work is conceptual in nature, there is nothing severe or self-consciously intellectual about it.
Malcolm is a member of The Royal Society Of British Artists, The Pastel Society and Manchester Academy of Fine Art.
His work is now in collections around the world from USA to Australia and many countries in Europe.
