Robert Littleford, a self-taught artist who became a professional painter in 1971, was born in 1945 in modest circumstances in the north of England. Robert Littleford’s debut show was a tremendous success, drawing the attention of art critics and national television. Following a string of successful exhibits, Robert Littleford was inducted into the British Watercolour Society in 1986. The Royal Society of Artists has also shown his paintings.
